Halloween horror in all its glory

Halloween snuck up on us at The Take Three this year, but we’re ready for a fun-filled, horrific weekend. Sound like an oxymoron? Not when it’s Halloween. Get your Baby Hands costumes and Kate wigs out, it’s time to celebrate. And what better way (other than parties, dressing up and trick-or-treating) than to hit the theater? This season’s got plenty of horror to choose from. Lisa Kennedy at The Denver Post has some thoughts on this year’s offerings:

Within the serial-killer spree, you’ll find the torture exploitation “Saw” franchise. “Saw VI” opened Friday.

Within the undead realms of zombies and vampires are quasi-comedies like the enjoyable “Zombieland” and “Cirque du Freak: Vampire’s Assistant.”

Coming soon to multiplexes everywhere is “2012,” Roland Emmerich’s apocalypse flick about the end of the world as we know it, long ago and precisely predicted by the Mayans.

So whatever your Halloween plans, there are plenty of scary movies to choose from. Get your horror on, and Happy Halloween from The Take Three.

And by the way, we swear we did something slightly more journalistic with this photo earlier today.
