According to Reuters business and finance news, Halloween weekend’s box office came in like this:

1. This Is It ($21.3 M)
2. Paranormal Activity ($16.5 M)
3. Law Abiding Citizen ($7.3 M)
4.  Couples Retreat ($6.1 M)
5. Saw IV ($5.6 M)
6. Where the Wild Things Are ($5.1 M)
7. The Stepfather ($3.4 M)
8. Astro Boy and Amelia (both $3.0 M)
10.  Cirque du Freak ($2.8 M)

Horror may have held a majority of the top spots, but it was the Michael Jackson limited-run documentary that took the top prize. “This Is It” drew in a substantial $5 million more than horror hit “Paranormal Activity,” and practically tripled the box offices sales of third place “Law Abiding Citizen.”

It may have been Halloween, but one thing’s for sure– MJ fans don’t mess around. With only 10 days left to see the film in theaters, make sure you don’t mess around, either.
