How do you like your apocalypse movies? We like ours well done, with a little bit of Will Smith on the side. This holiday season, you have a choice of two blockbuster end of days movies, and we get the feeling they will be distinctly different. “2012” is your typical big budget Hollywood flick, while “The Road” is based on Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel. “2012″ has got an all-star cast (John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson), and “The Road” has got main characters named Man, Boy and Woman. We haven’t seen “The Road” yet, but we read the book and we saw “2012,” and we’re pretty sure we know the difference between these two. As for you– it’s all in how you prefer your apocalypse. Choose wisely.
